Jordan goes Green with the upcoming Air Jordan 9 WMNS “Change The World” dropping sometime in Early 2021. It’s undeniable the global impact Jordan Brand makes. But what about its environmental impact? The first-ever WMNS AJ 9 covers both bases.
This multicolored design breathes new life into the model reserved for Men’s sizes until now. Each upper carries its own color palette unified by the perforated White leather forefoot, Black and Navy Blue tongue, and Black laces, heel pull tabs and sole inserts. Natural plant-based dyes an vegetable-tanned materials provide us with stunning Healing Orange, Desert Berry, Muted Blue, and Cactus Flower color scheme. Additionally, the right foot utilizes more Healing Orange for the collar liner, eyelets, and midsole. Meanwhile, the left foot chooses a Light Voltage Yellow instead.
However, the crown jewel rests in Mark Smith’s outsole design. Distinctively shaped globes, stars, and multiple languages tell the well-known “international story” of MJ’s impact on and off the court. Words in French, German, Swahili, Spanish, and Russian speak to the traits of Jordan like “Dede” the French word for “dedicated” or “Anmutig” the German word for “graceful.”
The already legendary kicks become even more so for all the right reasons with this women’s exclusive silhouette. A small reminder that any man–or woman can change the world.
