As promised, Nike delivers on its Air Force 1 Low “Rayguns” releasing in just a few days. Dating back to 2005, this updated piece of nostalgia is reminiscent of the OG Rosewell Rayguns, the fictional ABA basketball team. While not as flashy as the 2019 Tie-Dye Dunk Low iteration, this AF 1 Low keeps the same color scheme with a few added twists.
Smooth White leather appears on the perforated toe box, toe wrap, eyestays, and quarter panels. Likewise, White hits the mesh tongue and Air midsole. Contrasting Black makes its way to the synthetic tongue and sock liners, thin laces, corduroy Nike Swoosh, and rubber outsole. The Black Swooshes come outlined in Amarillo wrapping into the Nike Air branded heel counter. This matches the lining of the Green and Black basketballs embroidered onto the lateral heels.
And all this rests atop Orange Flash corduroy heel and ankle overlays. Again, we find Flash Orange accenting the mini Swoosh on the vamp and the Nike Air tongue tabs. Subsequently, Rayguns x Nike Air cobranding lines the Black sole inserts in Amarillo, completing the silhouette. Get ready for the Nike Air Force 1 “Rayguns” to drop January 15th retailing for $110.
