Prior to adidas updating the nickname, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Fade” was named for a man in the book of Genesis roughly translating to “purpose”. Clay Brown dominates the upper giving it the new moniker. Additionally, it appears to be the only model in the updated adidas Yeezy Fall collection whose name isn’t a color. The Primeknit patterning also gets an update, featuring new grooves in a mud-colored Brown. This is broken up by the striking Ocean Blue quarter panel mesh. Everything rests atop a Tan full-length Boost midsole.
Sneakerheads may remember Kanye threatening to leave adidas Brand along with The GAP during an impromptu Presidential campaign rally back in September. At the time, nearly all of Yeezy’s upcoming sneakers were named with heavily religious themes. Not long after, many of those names have been changed. Including the Fade, formerly known as “Yecher”. Could the name changes be a sign that Kanye is no longer pulling the same strings? Only time will tell. However, you can cop the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Fade” November 11th, retailing for $220.
